Troubleshooting Guide

Camera Not Working

  1. 1.Restart the SlabScout app
  2. 2.Check that camera permissions are enabled in Settings > Apps > SlabScout > Permissions > Camera
  3. 3.Ensure your phone camera is not blocked by a case or lens protector
  4. 4.Try using the app in a different lighting environment
  5. 5.If still not working, uninstall and reinstall SlabScout

Slow or Failing Scans

  1. 1.Check your internet connection - switch to WiFi if on mobile data
  2. 2.Ensure the card is well-lit and in focus
  3. 3.Move closer to the card (6-12 inches away)
  4. 4.Clean your phone camera lens
  5. 5.Clear app cache: Settings > Apps > SlabScout > Storage > Clear Cache
  6. 6.Reduce other apps running in the background

Inaccurate Valuations

  1. 1.Verify the card is correctly identified - check the player name and card set
  2. 2.Ensure the condition assessment is accurate (compare to PSA grading standards)
  3. 3.Check that you're using the latest version of SlabScout
  4. 4.Pricing data updates hourly - refresh the app to get latest values
  5. 5.For rare or vintage cards, manual research may be needed
